See Football Through My Eyes

I think it's time for me to write this. About a deep relationship between me and football.. Practically, right now almost 6 billion people in the world put their attention to an once in four years event. Yes, it's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. 32 nations compete to fought over a prestigious title: A World Champion.
Until the 8th of July the group match, the round of 16, the quarter-finals, and semi-finals had done. Now, everyone is looking forward to the final match in Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg on July, 12th 2010 (GMT +7). The match will confront two top football country in Europe, the Oranje Team Netherland, and La Furia Roja, European Champion 2008, Spain. Both, never won a single World Cup champion title before.

Like I've said in my previous post before, I'm a huge fan of Spain national team. And their attainment so far, succesfully put me in mixed emotional feelings. Happy, proud, excited, nervous, stunned.. ooh beyond words.. I have a long history and memory with Spain. In the very beginning of my anxiety to football I was a Germans supporter. Yeah it was in World cup 2002 Korea/Japan and the Germany beated Saudi Arabia with 11-0. What a score!! It was make them loveable right? ;p Well, from there, I decided to support Deutschland including their package; Klose, Ballack, Oliver Khan etc.

But somehow this Korea/Japan event make me really really fall in love with football. After the World Cup 2002 I demand more games, I wanted to see more, I wanted to learn more. So, I started watch the leagues in Europe. I watched Bundesliga, Premiere League, Serie A and La Liga. Not to long, I found my favourite team, my heart has choosen Real Madrid as my first and forever favourite football club in the world.

Some people said, girls only likes the charming view and some shirtless scene from football. Well, I won't say i'm not one of those girls, but I think my grade is one step higher than them. I admit that handsome guys with their delicious body running in the field for 90 minutes are very hard to resist. But for me the art of football, the goals, the tactics, the moves, the saves, the celebration of goals are things that attrack me the most. Football is beautiful.

So, back to Spain. After put all my heart to Real Madrid and of course their charming captain Raul Gonzalez, I began support Spain in every international matches. They played well but haven't got chance to won any big competition such as Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006. But it was all about time, they have a really competitive league and some Spanish club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia have won so many international championship. They have come to the golden era of Spanish football. With a mixing of experienced and young players, they got the best players in every position. The goalkeeper; Iker Casillas, defender; Carles Puyol, Sergio Ramos, and Carlos Marchena, midfielder; Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso, and duet striker; Fernando Torres & David Villa. They finally won the Austria/Switzerland Euro 2008 by defeat Germany 1-0 at final. Raul maybe has come to his end of national team career, but Raul is just one of my reasons for supporting Spain. The team is perfect right now, they play art in the field. And if you haven't noticed, they're one of the most fair play team in the world.

Now in South Africa, the winning team of Euro 2008 has back. The great captain Iker Casillas who always did a wonderful saves. Carles Puyol the very tough defender. Sergio Ramos the super energetic wing back. The master of midfield, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso. Apparently the team become better and better with the existance of Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Joan Capdevilla. Oh, and don't forget about the super benches David Silva, Fernando Llorente, Juan Manuel Mata, Jesus Navas and Pedro (well, Pedro i regret your selfish action last night! Please don't do that again!). My team has a very wonderful ingredients and well cooked by coach Vicente delBosque.

Last night Spain has beated Germany (again) in semifinal World cup 2010 with 1-0 score (again). Carles puyol header has bring Spain to final match for the first time after the 12th time participation. I tell you a secret: I cried when Puyol tear the Germans goal post :D. Now, i put all my hope to this final match. I pray for you my team, I believe we can win the final game. But even though we're not destinied to hold the Cup yet, I still proud of you and will be your fan forever.

With all my heart.
:')

PS: I started to love Barcelona FC because half of Spanish player are there. Funny, because Real Madrid and Barcelona have always been a rival. But for me they're one. Hehe.. :p
