The wrestling of Bahasa and English

A friend of mine tweeted me yesterday, she said she wanted to read my blog but since almost all my post written in English, she became dizzy. This, make me think, at the beginning of this blog i wrote my post in Bahasa then i decided to wrote it in English with some reasons:

1. My English isn't so good (as you can see), so i needed a place where i can practice my English. By writing in English, i can learn how to arrange words and re-read it sometimes to spot on some mistakes. It helps me a lot, because here in my country especially in my city, talking with others in English is still considered as an awkward gesture.

2. Writing my thoughts in English is easier. I don't know why but write it in Bahasa makes me shy, it feels too straightforward. Don't get me wrong, i didn't mean i am not proud of my own language but there's so many kind of "Bahasa tulis" here in indonesia. It confuses me, because i don't want to write in "bahasa alay", i don't like mixing Bahasa with English, and don't like a formal Bahasa type either.

3. By looking at my blog traffic, it looks like there are some people from other countries visited my blog. (Really thank you whoever you are.. :)) I want to make this blog more universal, so more people from all over the world would come here and read my thoughts.

Now after my friend mentioned it, i think i need to write more in Bahasa so my friends won't get confuse anymore when they visiting my page. Or i could just put a translator in my page.

Or what?

PS: I still need time for posting the "graduation day" post. Uploading some photos with this modem really need a big effort and patience. *sigh

A real champions never affraid of losing!

Ok, i think i need to make a special post about tonight's game before any Media releases such a bombastic headlines. You know something like "Juara Dunia dipermalukan Argentina dengan skor telak" or "Pukulan keras bagi Spanyol sang Juara Dunia" bla..bla.. Yes, we lost against Argentina with 4-1 score! To tell the truth i kinda disappointed. But, in the other hand there are some factors which made it happen. And i chose to accept this as a lesson for us to face another stage in our footballing-life.

Beside the external reasons such as we played at El Monumental Argentina where the crowd full with blue-white supporters. Or because we faced "a better Argentina National Team" where there are some great comebacks like Zanetti, Cambiasso, D'Alessandro completing Masch, Tevez, Higuain, Di Maria and of course the world's best player Messi. It is also obvious that VDB wanted to try another formation and make sure that the team won't depend too much to Xavi or Iker or Ramos..

I believe it was a good decision for the team, i mean we can't do a trial strategy in a "serious" even like Eurocopa Qualifying match, right? And i agree with RCTI commentator Tommy Welly who said that it is a good psychological warning for the team so they could recharge they winning desire and keeping their feet on the ground. I know that 4 goal is too much for a big team like ours but the ball still round, so..

I don't know how exactly the boys feeling right now but i'm sure they know what to do next time. This team consist of people who has, not only great footballing skill but also own a great personality. They wouldn't blame anyone and won't mourn this longer than 10 seconds after the whistle blew. Well, above all it's so good to know that 3 of 4 Argentine goalscorer are play for Spanish club, no? :) It means Spain has a contribution of maturing the Argentine players even though they have to strive against Spain it self.

Historia de Agosto

Hello World!!

Aaahh it is so relief to be back here. It feels like years i didn't showed up with a new post, no? There are some important notes that i am going to share.

one. Finally, I've obtained my bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. Now, i got a title behind my name, Yesi Rizki Amelia, S.I.Kom (Yay!). It was at Aug 27th 2010, the day i had my comprehensive exam. I must say that i had through a really bad times struggling for the title (big sigh). It was so exhausting both physically and mentally, depressing, and sometimes annoying. Well, it's a long story but ended nicely. All i want to say is God is always been really kind to me. Alhamdulillah. :)

two. It sucks how the bureaucracy at my college make me even depressed when i thought i've reached my limit. Too many form to be filled, too many things to be paid. Yes, i'm officially bankrupt (and so are my parent)!!! But after all, I will have the graduation ceremony at Sept 22nd 2010.

three. I regret my attainment in Ramadhan month of this year. You know i would blame the "skripsi distraction", but it should not be an excuse right? So, i beg you Allah SWT, let me meet Ramadhan next year..

four. There is one thing that still can cheered me up when i was in those "bad times". Yeah football, not really hard to guess, huh? ;p. Big thanks for my fav football-related-blogger Unamadridista for both her La Roja blog and Madrid blog. No matter how busy i was, i always took time for reading her posts. Great pleasure.

five. I can't tell how happy i am for the fact that Spain NT won their first Euro Qualifying match! They've beaten Liechtenstein 4-0 with goals by Fernando Torres, David Villa, and David Silva. I am especially very happy and proud of Nando's two goals. El Nino is back!!! :D

six. Besides the good news of number five above, i'm so disappointed of my self. I still can't believe that i MISSED the match. Simply because i fell asleep. :( But tomorrow at 04.00 AM (Indonesia time) Spain will be facing Argentina for a friendly. Yes! Yes! Yes! I have a chance to redeem my disappointment. Somebody please just slap me right away if i (again) fall asleep.

seven. I want to get a job as fast as i can!! Because my internet connection is sucks and i want my old "modem" back! This new CDMA wireless won't bring me any good. I can't even enclose some photos at this post. Fail.
